Disappointed after book one and two

I was really looking forward to the 3rd story in this series, it took awhile for it to show up. But not far into the story I was not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the 1st and 2nd story. When the five werewolves and the heroine finally hook up it just seemed..I guess childish. The storyline was confusing to me, I think because there was quite a gap between the 2nd story and this one. The action seemed choppy and the bad guy overly dramatic. The whole Irish Jewel thing, when it was revealed, just made me shake my head, it really didn't make much sense. I was supprised with this whole story because up till now I have enjoyed this author. If there is another story in this series I hope it doesn't have as much of a gap and also is nore cohesive plot wise.

I love this series! This series isn't just about sex [although the sex scenes are awesome]. The plots are filled with action and love. I've read a lot of books where I find myself skipping quite a bit of descriptive areas where I'm just plain bored in a book where I'm otherwise satisfied with the rest of the storyline. Not with this series!! It keeps my attention all the way through.

Okay, but not the best of her work

I started reading Dixie Lynn Dwyer not too long ago, and I think her books are okay. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other on menage romance; it isn't a deciding factor on me reading a book, and I am pretty openminded; as long as the characters are adults and consensual, nothing really bothers me (except age play, that still seems a bit too much). The author does a few things that bother me; she incorrectly uses phrases, the worst being "I could care less," (instead of the correct could NOT care less) which means exactly the opposite of what she means, and is really a pet peeve of mine. She also is very cookie cutter with her newer books. The beginnings draw me in, but then she follows on the same path with her books, heroine trying to be independent, then becoming spineless, and her only value becomes that of a saintly sex doll for the men. I wish she wouldn't surpass 2 men in the romance, because her stories really suffer for it when she adds more. In this book, the 5 men seemed relatively interchangable, and their surplus existence is only relevant for a sex scene in the book. If you want to ready her better works,. one of the easiest tricks is to look for 1 with 2 men in the romance. Her heroes are very one dimensional, and all are former military, very patriotic, alpha males. That is fine, for the most part, as it seems to be what she sees as the ideal hero, but that is where their personalities end. No one has hobbies, quirks, faults, nothing. All the women are curvy with large breasts, and are if not virginal, then largely inexperienced and are suddenly extremely desirable to all males, even obsessively so. Accents disappear, and jobs suddenly are irrelevant when getting in the way of sex scenes
