I came to know about the importance of Vitamin D, once someone in my family was suffering from thyroid and the reports brought the deficiency of Vitamin D. Now she is on supplements for it. Vitamin D acts as a hormone also. This is a very comprehensive information on Vitamin, starting from basics to the more detailed. The benefits, how it functions, where it is needed and what it can cause if there is a deficiency. The ways to obtain to, most natural being the sun light and the foods. Very useful information.
