I love romance of all kinds. I've been writing all my life and decided to follow my passion. Thanks to the chaos caused by my three wonderful children I find inspiration in all things. I grew up In Colorado but currently live in North Dakota. I was never one of the people in high school that knew what they wanted to do in life. I was lost. I had things I enjoyed but never felt passionate about. The love of animals, travel, art, and creative writing seemed impossible to combine. So I drifted trying to find the thing that ignited a fire in my heart. Then not long ago I decided to finally tell everyone about the lives of the people in my head. Sounds completely crazy I know, but they felt real to me and much like the heroines of my stories I decided to fight for them.

Another great shifter read from Debra Smith.
The second in the Koning Clan books is filled with just as much action, but is longer than the first, so you get more 'bite' to the story. The relationship between Clint and Eva progresses at a fairly decent pace for a shorter novel. You get the insta-attraction, but also the wooing and courtship that's usually lacking in shorter stories. When things do start rolling it's scorching! Eva and Clint are well matched. Eva doesn't play the 'distressed' heroine in the sexual situations. The lady knows what she wants and makes sure Clint give it to her :)
There's also a fun little twist towards the end that made me laugh up a storm :)

My one complaint would be that when someone's mysterious past is revealed, the reader doesn't get the whole story. It seemed like a plot twist added in to make the end doable. (I know that all sounds very vague, but I hate spoilers!) Hopefully in a future installment, more details will be given to satisfy my curiosity.
In all Escaping Love is a fun and sexy after-dinner shifter read that's sure to entertain :)

A great read

Another enjoyable installment in the series. The characters were interesting and it has a good plot that will keep you hooked.
It was well written and had good descriptions but sometimes the writing felt rushed together, like there should have been pauses where there weren't.
The ending has left me eager for more, I'm looking forward to reading the next book :)

Oh my, Clint is just so damn sexy, "his breath caressed the sensitive skin of her neck, sending delicious chills down her spine straight to her core. "You can be grumpy and rude, but don't like to me. Ever." I loved his way of thinking, "The little cat needed an attitude adjustment, a spanking would do the trick. He doubted she'd ever had one. The idea of her a** up in the air while her round little cheeks burned from his attentions made his already hard co** pulse with need." He's just so damn panty dropping hot when he explains how they claim mates, "if you run from me again little one, I will not have the restraint to be gentle when I make you mine. You do know how wolves claim their mate don't you?" Her eyes widened as she shook her head. "We pin you to the ground, enter your secret entrance and mark you with our bite while we pound into you." Oh my I want more from this author. I really enjoyed this book, and I hope to see more from the author.
