Waste of time, nothing here. Not well-written.

Only basic info here, of which better can be found on the internet. The writing is just so so.
The book has no real tips on color - none you would want, anyway. Author repeatedly says you should NOT use more than THREE colors at any time, whether in your clothes, your art, or decorating your home. Why not? She gives no reason. But then goes on to describe a few FOUR color schemes...
The "psychology of color" covered a whole two and a half pages, without saying anything.
From the book itself: "Although reading this book may give you a hint on the basics, one does not become an expert on color theory overnight. Being good at it requires talent, a good imagination, and a willingness to take risks." Huh? How about knowledge or education--the reasons I bought your book?
She goes on: " Find time to master how to produce the color you need to match another, look for combinations..." and so on! In other words, don't ask her- she doesn't know.
Overall this book was extremely disappointing. (But the cover is awesome!)

No Illustrations

I purchased but returned this book. Based on the colorful cover, I was expecting several pages of color wheels and illustrations of colors that do or do not work together, and ideas about how to choose color palettes for projects. Actually, this book has no illustrations of any kind. Just text. It's sincerely written, but I'll move on to find something more helpful.

Excellent starting point for me

An excellent book on color theory. I wanted to understand more on this subject as I'm trying to get more into the creative world of visual arts, so its only logical that I begin with this book. Even if you're not pursuing visual arts, this is perfect for any creative field, as everything is in color. You can use the information written in this book and translate it into real life situations for your creative mind.
